14 Days of Genitals: Day 0, the Explanation

It's been an entire year since Amy and Meaghan peer-pressured themselves into writing about the grossest animal sex facts they could find, spewing out one each day until their google search history threatened to become a sentient, malevolent beast. To save the world, and their eyeballs, they gave up on day 8

This year, there's no backing down. The Vengeance Team has been strength training for this all year and this time we're ready for the marathon (note: please for the love of god, do not try to imagine what this sort of strength training involves). Prep yourself for two weeks of bizarre, fascinating, and typically pretty horrifying animal sex facts. We've got nothing but the best/worst for you, building to a natural crescendo on February 14th.

Cuz corkscrew dicks are amateur weird.
Why are we doing this? Two reasons: we failed out last year, and we haven't redeemed ourselves and two... we want to prove to all lonely people on valentines day that even if you don't have a date, at least you're not involved with an otter. Just trust us: that would be a bad thing.

Caecillians: we thought you had it bad. You don't. Not even close.

Awesome Dead Shit: Archaeoindris, the Giant Lemur

Meaghan thinks she is oh so clever, making Amy publish blog posts about mushrooms while she was away in Spain. Well, payback's a bitch so this month all y'all bloggers are gonna read about fuckin' giant LEMURS!!
Welcome to Meaghan's new nightmares++
Sloth lemurs (Palaeopropithecidae) are a family of extinct primates  that grew to extreme sizes, with Archaeoindris weighing in as top dog. Archaeoindris was first described by Herbert Standing in 1909 based on jaw fragments, and soon a complete skull was discovered. Unfortunately, there have only been six postcrania bones found with no hands or feet in the mix, making locomotion estimates far and few. Mass estimates, on the other hand, are readily available but all of them make Amy and Meaghan want to cry, though their tears will hopefully make Edward Davis very proud.

For-Real Science Titles

Listen. Sometimes reading about science is not the invigorating spell-bound haze that we have often portrayed it as. It can be monotonous. It can lead to random outbursts of extreme anger - "WHY DID I READ ALL OF THIS WHEN IT IS SHIT, IT IS SUCH SHIT!"
Oreodont literature sucks SO HARD, Amy, SO HARD!

 But sometimes, it is gold and not for the reason you thought it might be. Here are a few gems discovered in epic quests through the vast and echoing forest of unrelated literature.

A Belated Response To Our Google Search Terms

We get some pretty odd google search terms that bring people to the blog. We thought, in the spirit of the New Year, we would address some of these because we are action-oriented, answer-giving people and frankly, we think our content has been letting down some of the perverts of the world (well, except for any post during February).
